The Electrical experimenter
A monthly American popular-electricity magazine edited by Hugo Gernsback in New York, 1917, aimed at amateur experimenters, radio hobbyists and home tinkerers. Halftone photo montages show women with vacuum cleaners and electric irons and naval radio classes at their instrument panels, alongside cutaway diagrams of stage sound recording and ruled advertisements with engraved figures, book stacks and heavy display lettering.
