A German alphabetical guidebook to painting and print collections, coin and gem cabinets, natural history rooms and botanical gardens across the German states, compiled by Friedrich Karl Gottlob Hirsching and printed at Erlangen by Johann Jakob Palm in 1786 for travellers and collectors. The plates are mainly letterpress: fraktur text columns, a floral woodcut headpiece band of roses and scrolled rails, and close views of ruled diagonal hatching, usable as type specimens, rule-and-flower dividers, and line-texture fills.
