Mariner-Mars 1969 A preliminary report
A NASA preliminary report on the Mariner 6 and 7 flybys of Mars, issued in 1969 for scientists, engineers, and the press. Halftone photographs of the Martian disc are overprinted with numbered rectangles marking camera footprints, alongside mosaics of cratered terrain and small circle diagrams keyed to surface features — useful for grids, annotation systems, and grainy planetary textures.
