Space qualified Nd:YAG laser (phase 1 - design)
A 1971 NASA contractor engineering report by J. D. Foster and R. F. Kirk on the design of a space-qualified Nd:YAG laser, issued for agency and aerospace-industry technical readers. The plates are high-contrast photographic reproductions of hardware — a mounted laser head with trailing cable, a screwed-together pump cavity with its rod and reflector — printed coarsely so blacks blot out and metal reads as bare white shape, useful as ready-made halftone silhouettes and machine-part forms.
