THE CAROTENOIDS OF SOME BASIDIOMYCETES: A CHEMIOTAXIONOMIC SURVEY

FIASSON, J. L · 1973 · 2 pictures

A 1973 technical report by J. L. Fiasson surveying the carotenoid pigments of basidiomycete fungi as chemical markers for classification, issued through NASA's technical report series for research chemists and biologists. The two plates are line reproductions from typescript pages: a plotted absorption spectrum with triple-peaked curve on a labelled nm axis, and a numbered biosynthesis chart of zig-zag polyene chain structures joined by arrows, useful as sources of scientific diagram texture, hand-set axis lettering, and repeating molecular linework.
