A 1973 NASA contractor technical report by J. W. Schaefer covering arc-jet screening tests of thermal protection materials for the shuttle orbiter, written for aerospace engineers and program reviewers. Its plates combine fine-line mechanical drawings of pyrometer indexing gear and dimensioned test-model assemblies with title blocks and section arrows, plus grainy black-and-white photographs of cylindrical specimen holders, wire bundles, and wedge-shaped sample pieces laid out on grey cloth.
