The Canadian swept-frequency ionospheric sounding satellite
A 1962 technical paper by R. K. Brown on Canada's swept-frequency ionospheric sounding satellite, written for radio engineers and space scientists and preserved in the NASA technical report literature. The plates are hand-lettered block diagrams of transmitter, receiver and telemetry chains plus halftone cutaway line drawings of the drum-shaped spacecraft with its long dipole antennas, useful for boxed-and-arrowed signal-flow layouts and numbered exploded-component keys.
