Dynamic characterization and analysis of space shuttle SRM solid propellant
Hufferd, W. L · 1979 · 2 pictures
A 1979 NASA technical report by W. L. Hufferd on the dynamic mechanical testing of Space Shuttle solid rocket motor propellant, written for propulsion engineers and materials researchers. The two plates are coarse, high-contrast photographic reproductions of laboratory hardware — a cylindrical test specimen shown beside an inch scale, and a grip-and-linkage fixture holding a strip sample — yielding blown-out blacks, halftone grain, and stark machined silhouettes usable as found industrial imagery.
