Nature drawing from various points of view
A 1910 drawing manual edited by Henry Turner Bailey and published in New York by Atkinson, Mentzer & Grover, made for art teachers and school pupils learning to draw plants from observation. The plates are small upright brush and wash studies of leafy sprays, blossoming twigs, seed heads and iris, with flat grey tones, silhouetted masses and initialled corner marks.
