Nederduytsche poëmata
A volume of Dutch verse and emblems by the Zeeland magistrate Adriaan Hoffer, printed at Amsterdam by Broer Jansz in 1635 with engravings by Crispijn van de Passe, for Dutch-reading literary and moralizing audiences. The plates are small roundels of Netherlandish landscape and town life — vine-wrapped trees, windmills, timber sluices and gabled streets, with tiny working figures under streaked skies — usable as circular vignettes, spot motifs and hatched sky and ground textures.
