Needlework without "specimens": the modern book of school needlework
A school needlework manual by Ellen P. and C. A. Claydon, issued in New York by E. P. Dutton in 1900 for teachers and pupils cutting garments to measure. The plates are flat pattern diagrams: pale garment shapes against dense engraved hatching, dotted fold lines, arrows and inch measurements, useful as ready-made geometric shapes, textures and technical lettering.
