Neue alchymistische Bibliothek für den Naturkundiger unsers Jahrhunderts
A German alchemical anthology compiled by Friedrich Josef Wilhelm Schröder and issued at Frankfurt and Leipzig by Heinrich Ludwig Brönner from 1772, aimed at eighteenth-century students of natural philosophy. The plates here are letterpress ornament: small woodcut tailpieces of rocaille scrolls, leafy sprays, fruit baskets and flower clusters, printed coarsely on laid paper and usable as chapter breaks, dividers and spot motifs.
