A German translation of Oliver Lodge's lectures on modern views of electricity, issued in Leipzig by Johann Ambrosius Barth in 1896 for physicists, students and technically minded readers. The 60 plates are plain line diagrams printed on tinted stock: circuits strung between hatched wooden beams, pulleys and hanging weights, screw terminals and switches, and contour-like fields curving around a coil or sphere, useful as schematic ornament, endpaper pattern or technical texture.
