A German handweavers' pattern book, compiled by Johann Michael Kirschbaum and published at Heilbronn and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in 1771 for linen and figured-weaving workshops. The 121 numbered plates are black-and-white grid patterns of checkerboard blocks, crosses and stepped lozenges, with German draft labels (Zug, Tritt) along the margins, usable as tiling motifs, halftone-like textures and borders.
