A new book of designs for girandoles and glass frames in the present taste [graphic]
A trade pattern book of girandole and looking-glass designs engraved by Benedetto Pastorini and published by Isaac Taylor in London in 1775 for carvers, gilders and cabinetmakers. Each plate centres an oval or shield-shaped mirror, its hatched grey field ringed by beaded moulding and framed with neoclassical scrollwork, husk swags, paterae, anthemion crests and lidded urns, ready for reuse as borders and cartouches.
