New York City record and building trades directory
A trade directory and reference for New York builders, contractors and property owners, issued by the New York City Record Publishing Co. on Park Row in 1892, paired with building-law text. The 75 plates are engraved ward maps of Manhattan showing numbered lots and blocks, street and avenue names in small caps, Hudson and East River piers with steamship line labels, and elevated and surface railroad routes—useful for street-grid patterns, hand-lettered map type and pier and waterfront diagrams.
