Ninety-seven : a calendar for the year 1897 with sketches of some Canadian water-ways and appropriate selections from Canadian writers
A wall calendar for 1897 designed and published by the Toronto Art Students' League, pairing monthly pages with Canadian verse and sketches of the country's rivers, canals and lakeshores. The pen drawings are built from open parallel hatching and wiry line work: low horizons, tugs and barges, lock walls, poplars, farmhouse rooflines and foreground reeds, useful as landscape headpieces, borders and calendar layouts.
