A catalogue of William T. Walters's paintings, with critical and biographical notes by Richard B. Gruelle, issued by J.M. Bowles in Indianapolis in 1895 and designed by Bruce Rogers for collectors and art readers. The decoration is a set of square woodcut-style initials in heavy black line, each letter locked into interlaced strapwork, knots and curling foliage on a cream ground, usable as drop caps, monogram frames or tiling pattern units.
