Notes of an art collector
A collector's account of his own holdings, written by Maurice Jonas and published by Routledge in London in 1907 for fellow collectors and dealers in prints, medals and portrait reliefs. The plates are halftone photographs of relief portrait medallions in wax or plaster, mostly left-facing profiles of eighteenth-century men in wigs and coats, printed small and centred in wide cream margins with soft grey oval vignettes and occasional incised name labels.
