A 1655 Lisbon treatise on Portugal's population, trade and currency by the chronicler Manoel Severim de Faria, printed at the Craesbeeck press and dedicated to King John IV for a court and administrative readership. Woodcut initials filled with curling leaves, headpieces framing a cherub and a displayed eagle in an oval cartouche, and paired obverse-reverse coin cuts showing crowned profiles, crosses, stars and wreath borders with Latin legends supply small heraldic roundels and letterforms for reuse.
