Le nouveau jardin
A 1912 Paris manifesto on garden design by André Vera, illustrated by his brother Paul Véra and issued by Émile-Paul for French architects, gardeners and garden owners. Each plate pairs a stippled line perspective of a walled or hedged garden with a flat geometric plan beneath, borders filled with repeating rosettes, spirals and dotted textures; useful for pattern fields, labelled parterre grids and small woodcut tailpieces.
