A drawing manual by Claude Mathieu Delagardette, published in Paris in 1803, teaching students of civil and military architecture how to draft and render plans in ink wash. The engraved plates pair fortification plans, roof plans and terrain profiles with graded wash strips, material tints, hatched sections and ruled scale bars, giving designers ready-made texture swatches, measured rules and labelled geometric diagrams.
