A Portuguese handbook of conjuring tricks, published in Lisbon by the Livraria de J. J. Bordalo in 1870 for amateur performers and parlour audiences. The eighteen small wood engravings show cuffed hands tipping goblets, covering bottles and lifting lidded vessels, drawn in coarse hatching with cast shadows on a bare table edge, ready for use as isolated gesture vignettes or instructional spot illustrations.
