Nuova raccolta d'autori, che trattano del moto dell'acque
A multi-volume anthology of writings on the motion of water, printed by F. Carmignani in Parma in 1766 for engineers, mathematicians and river authorities concerned with canals, sluices and flood control. The folding copperplates set lettered geometry — sight lines, flow arrows, weir sections, inclined planes — over etched landscapes of riverbanks, bridges, mills and cloud-streaked skies, giving designers survey diagrams, hatched water surfaces and small stipple-shaded terrain vignettes.
