Nuova raccolta d'autori, che trattano del moto dell'acque
A multi-volume Italian collection of treatises on the movement of water, printed by F. Carmignani in Parma in 1766 for engineers and scholars of hydraulics, rivers and canals; the copy came from the library of Count Antonio Cavagna Sangiuliani di Gualdana. The pictures here are letterpress ornaments: small woodcut tailpieces of flower baskets framed by C-scrolls and acanthus, and decorated initials built from curling foliage, useful as headpieces, dividers and drop caps.
