Nuttelyck huys-boeck ... Benevens alle de overgebleven gedichten ... de lof-en rouw-gedichten en graft-schriften
A 1769 Leiden edition of Jacob Cats's Dutch household verse, emblems, and funerary poems, printed by H. van der Deyster for Dutch readers of moralizing domestic literature. The plates here are small letterpress ornaments cut on wood: symmetrical scrollwork tailpieces with a seated putto holding a branch, grotesque masks, and a flower-filled basket over palm fronds and swags, usable as section breaks, rules, and decorative caps.
