Sefer Segulot u-refuʼot
A Hebrew and Yiddish compendium of segulot and refuot — amulet formulas, talismans and folk remedies — compiled by Rabbi Yehudah Yudl Rozenberg and printed in Lodz in 1914 for East European Jewish readers. The plates are typographic and small-scale: heavy square Hebrew display letters with white inline dots, a coarse-screen oval halftone portrait of the author over a facsimile signature, and a corner vignette of a bird among palm fronds, berries and blossom, useful for masthead lettering, portrait framing and spot ornament.
