Ocean traffic and trade
A 1921 correspondence-course textbook on ocean shipping and foreign trade, written by Benjamin Olney Hough and issued by LaSalle Extension University in Chicago for students of commerce and traffic management. The plates are coarse-screen halftone photographs of harbor working equipment — car floats, pier sheds, riveted steel transfer bridges, crowded waterfronts seen from above — printed on yellowed stock, useful for grainy industrial texture, silhouetted dock structures and dense ranks of moored vessels.
