A state historical society journal issued in Columbus from 1887 by the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society for members, antiquarians and local historians. Halftone plates reproduce oil portraits of Ohio settlers and officials, plus field photographs of excavations, refuse pits and mound sites, all coarse-screened and heavily grained — useful for weathered portrait stock and dig-site documentary texture.
