Ohio archæological and historical quarterly
A scholarly journal of the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society, issued in Columbus from 1887 for members, antiquarians, and local historians. Halftone plates show stone artifacts photographed against plain grounds, rubbings and field views of pictograph rock carvings, and oval portrait busts of society officers, all in soft grey tone useful for textured cutouts, silhouette shapes, and archaic figure motifs.
