Ohio archæological and historical quarterly
A state historical and archaeological journal issued by the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society in Columbus from 1887, written for local antiquarians, genealogists and members of the society. The plates are halftone reproductions of painted portraits of early Ohio settlers, officers and officials, oval or rectangular vignettes fading into grey grounds, useful for period faces, collars, and soft-edged frame shapes.
