A scholarly journal of state history and archaeology issued by the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society in Columbus from 1887, written for members, local historians, and antiquarians. The plates here are coarse halftone portraits of men in oval and rectangular frames, reproduced from photographs and older painted profiles, with heavy dot texture and blotted blacks that suit collage, grain overlays, and period-portrait placeholders.
