Ohio archæological and historical quarterly
A state historical society's scholarly quarterly, issued in Columbus from 1887 for members and antiquarians documenting Ohio earthworks, mounds and settlement history. The plates reproduce hand-drawn survey maps in pen and ink: half-mile grids, meandering rivers and lake outlines, hachured slopes, dotted rows of conical mounds, linear embankments, north arrows and scale bars, all usable as diagrammatic line art and cartographic marks.
