Ohio archæological and historical quarterly
A scholarly quarterly issued by the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Society from Columbus beginning in 1887, written by local antiquarians and archaeologists for society members and libraries. The plates are coarse-screen halftone portraits of men in dark coats and bow ties against plain grounds, plus photographic facsimiles of folded manuscript letters showing cursive script, ink blots and fold creases usable as handwriting and dot-screen texture.
