The old flying days
A popular history of early aviation by Charles Cyril Turner, published in London by Sampson Low, Marston in 1927 for British readers who had followed the pioneer flying era. Halftone photographs show biplanes in flight above tree-lined fields, machines on grass with crews holding the wingtips, a floatplane, and a propeller-forward monoplane on skids — useful for wing-strut lattices, silhouettes and figure-to-machine scale.
