Old glass and how to collect it
A collector's handbook on antique glass by J. Sydney Lewis, published in London and Philadelphia in 1916 for amateur buyers and dealers learning to date and identify pieces. The plates are halftone photographs of drinking glasses shot against black, showing engraved Jacobite and Williamite toasting glasses, air-twist and opaque-twist stems, knops, moulded bowls and folded feet, with captions naming each type; useful for silhouettes, stem profiles and high-contrast object cutouts.
