Old and new designs in crochet work : yokes & collars
A pattern catalogue of crocheted yokes and collars compiled by Sophie Tatum LaCroix and issued around 1900 by the St. Louis Fancy Work Co. for home needleworkers. The plates are studio photographs of finished lace laid flat on black cloth, giving high-contrast white openwork silhouettes—pineapple and rosette repeats, picot edgings, zigzag and star borders—usable as ornament motifs, frames, or stencil-like shapes.
