Old and new designs in crochet work
A pattern book of crochet designs compiled by Sophie Tatum LaCroix and issued by the St. Louis Fancy Work Co. in 1900 for home needleworkers. The plates are photographs of finished lace samples shot flat against black cloth, so each edging, insertion and corner reads as a white openwork grid — usable as repeating borders, stencil motifs or halftone texture.
