Old and new designs in crocheted towels, pillow-cases, sheets
A pattern booklet of crochet edgings for household linens, compiled by Sophie Tatum LaCroix and issued by the St. Louis Fancy Work Co. in 1900 for home needleworkers. Halftone photographs show lace borders against dark grounds: filet diamonds with floral fillings, scalloped picot points, fan and wheel motifs, each paired with dense columns of stitch instructions usable as repeating ornament, border rules, or texture fills.
