A survey of Spanish architecture and ornament by the German art historian August L. Mayer, issued in New York by Brentano's in 1921 for English-reading students and collectors. The plates are halftone photographs by Hauser y Menet and Lacoste showing carved stone portals, cusped tracery, heraldic shields and Mudéjar panels, useful as sources for arch profiles, escutcheons and dense surface pattern.
