Ombrassische Helden-Rüst-Kammer : welche von Ferdinanden, Ertzhertzogen zu Oesterreich, herrlich angerichtet
A German edition of Jacob Schrenck von Notzing's catalogue of the armour collection assembled by Archduke Ferdinand II at Ambras Castle, edited by Johann David Köhler and issued at Nuremberg by Christoph Weigel's widow in 1735 for collectors of heraldry, arms and princely biography. Each of the 189 plates is a full-length engraved portrait of a commander standing in a round-arched niche in etched and gilded plate armour, helmet, gauntlets or shield set on the floor beside him, with hatched shading and a cast shadow on the wall.
