One hundred book plates engraved on wood
A collection of one hundred bookplates cut on wood by the London engraver Thomas Moring, issued by the De La More Press in 1901 for collectors and clients commissioning ex-libris marks. The plates are dense black-line heraldry: helmed crests, lions, mantling scrolls, quartered shields, stippled grounds, and circular or rectangular borders carrying owners' names and mottoes in Gothic lettering.
