Opere de Giorgio Vasari
An 1822 Florentine edition of Giorgio Vasari's collected writings on Italian painters, sculptors and architects, issued by S. Audin for artists, students and collectors. The plates are outline engravings of artists' heads in profile and three-quarter view, wearing caps, hoods and turbans, modelled with fine parallel hatching against blank grounds, useful for portrait silhouettes, hatching textures and period headwear.
