A two-volume Italian collected edition of Galileo's mathematical, astronomical and mechanical writings, printed in Bologna by the heirs of Dozza in 1656 for scholars and university readers. The illustrations are small letterpress-era woodcut geometry diagrams: lettered circles, chords, tangents, right triangles and sightlines drawn in thin line over laid paper, useful as line-figure ornament or diagrammatic texture.
