A sample album of Asian silk and brocade fragments, assembled without publisher or attribution around 1700 and held by the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute Library, for weavers, merchants, and collectors comparing woven patterns. Plates group swatches in mosaic-like blocks: gold-on-black medallions, chrysanthemum and peony repeats, waves, lattice and key-fret grids, striped and ikat-like bands in rust, indigo, and cream.
