The origin and evolution of freemasonry connected with the origin and evolution of the human race
A 1920 London volume from G. Allen & Unwin, Albert Churchward's speculative comparative study tracing Masonic symbolism through Egyptian, Babylonian and other ancient religions, written for Freemasons and readers of ritual and myth. The plates are plain black-line redrawings of seals, amulets, carvings and codex figures — a fish-cloaked Assyrian priest, a seated Mesoamerican deity, a disc of masks and lozenges — giving designers flat, high-contrast motifs that reproduce at small sizes.
