Ornamenti d'architettura ritrovati fra le ruine delle antiche fabriche di Roma, nuovamente dati in luce
An Italian engraved pattern book of architectural ornament recorded from Roman ruins, issued in Italy from 1537 for architects, stonecarvers and builders working in the classical orders. Copperplate views show Composite capitals, cornices and entablatures in raking perspective, with egg-and-dart, acanthus, bead-and-reel and volute detail annotated with measurement scales—useful as line-art borders, repeating moulding strips and drafting-style diagram motifs.
