Osnovaniia nachertatelnoi geometrii
Yakov Sevastianov's Osnovaniia nachertatelnoi geometrii, a descriptive geometry textbook printed in St Petersburg in 1834 by the press of the Main Directorate of Ways of Communication for Russian engineering and military students. The plates are engraved line diagrams inside ruled borders: hairline projection axes, lettered points, dashed construction lines, tilted parallelograms, spheres and arcs, numbered by figure, giving designers sparse geometric linework and diagram grammar on open white grounds.
