Other worlds than ours
Popular astronomy by the English writer Richard A. Proctor, first issued in 1870 and reprinted for general American readers by P.F. Collier and Son in New York in 1902. The plates mix line diagrams of orbits and sight-lines on plain white grounds with dark-field telescopic views of Jupiter's banded disc, star clouds and a lobed model of the Milky Way, giving designers black-ground celestial engravings and simple labelled circle-and-radius schematics.
