Our doors and windows : how to decorate them
A trade catalogue issued in 1889 by Cutting and DeLaney of Buffalo, New York, showing the firm's lattice, grille, and paneled woodwork to builders, decorators, and homeowners fitting out doors and windows. Line engravings in warm brown ink give flat frontal views of gridded screens, star-and-diamond fretwork, coffered panels, and a few furnished room corners with vases and portieres, supplying repeatable geometric patterns and hatched wood-grain texture.
